We can vision a future where psychedelics change the world but what if the system is designed to stop us from experiencing such natural phenomenon? With the justice system as corrupt as it is, it is rightful for us to be worried about being incarcerated.
Psychedelics are making a come-back in mainstream culture. One of the most amazing psychedelic drugs is the magic mushroom, otherwise known as Psilocybin Mushrooms. There is a movement in a few different states to get psilocybin legalized for medicinal use.
Most people who want to know about using or microdosing Mushrooms have one of the most important questions: Does Psilocybin Mushroom show up on a drug test?
Mushroom Drug Testing
If you have recently taken or are planning on taking Mushrooms and are worried about being drug tested, keep reading!
Perhaps you are on probation. Maybe you have a court date. Maybe you were convicted of another crime and you’re out on bond and cannot consume Cannabis but would like to take Mushrooms.
Maybe you want to start microdosing and you are worried about Mushrooms showing up on a drug test for work.
We’ll answer the following questions today:
Can you be drug tested for Mushrooms? Does acid show up on a drug test for probation or pre-employment drug screen? How long does Mushrooms actually stay in your system? Can Mushrooms be detected in urine? Mushrooms blood test: Will Mushrooms show up in a blood test?
Drug Testing is Done For The Following Reasons
- Pre-employment drug screen.
- Random drug testing at work.
- Probation or Parole.
- Military Service
It is important to always be safe than sorry. I don’t recommend that you transport or carry mushrooms with you, even the microdose, for safety reasons. It is smart to stay away from illegal drugs while on probation and parole, or if you’re being randomly drug tested at work or for your active military service.
It is always an excellent idea to buy and keep a drug teting kit at home in case you have used anything else besides mushrooms.
THE GOOD NEWS?
Even using an extended test, they do not show up so easily, however, they can still be detected using sophisticated Immunoassay Tests and special toxicology tests.
How Long Do Mushrooms Stay in Urine?
Psilocybin mushrooms generally last in the user’s system for about one to three days, varying by usage, metabolism, and the percentage of fat that the user has.
Mushrooms can be detected in the urine for about 1-3 days, but 80% of the active metabolites are excreted within 24 hours of use.1
Can Psilocybin Show Up on a Drug Test?
Accurately detecting psilocybin wouldn’t require an extensive panel drug test, but it could appear in special toxicology tests for certain situations such as security clearances, criminal probation where there’s a history of use, or school-related drug tests. Do Mushrooms Show Up On A Drug Test.2
According to sources like Zamnesia, the more commonly used panel tests such as the standard 5-panel drug test do not test for psilocybin or psilocin, the chemical which makes the user hallucinate.
How Long Do Shrooms Stay In Your System
Referencing the Psychedelics Encyclopedia by Peter Strafford, 80% of the metabolite is excreted in the first eight to twenty-four hours of use, but residual metabolites may be stored in fat and, depending on use, may be detectable for weeks.4
According to Psychedelics Encyclopedia by Peter Stafford (1993-01-12):
“In the high dose study of rats, all but 6 pecent of the psilocybin was excreted within twenty-four hours. In humans, only 80-85% of psilocybin and its metabolites is excerted within 8 hours, in the urine (about 65%), bile and feces (15-20%). Some 15-20% lingers on, stored in fatty tissues; significant quantitites appear in urine up to a week later. A full 25% of the originally administered dose enters urine as psilocin.”
However, the user’s tolerance with psilocybin increases rapidly and thus renders the chances of hallucinating on an average dose on a regular basis useless.
They have to specifically be looking for mushrooms for a good reason. Even if they do have a good reason to order an expensive and extended drug test in order to detect it, it still may not show up depending on how long before the test you used it.
The possibilities of a user being accurately detected for psilocybin is slim to none depending on the situation and the users body. It’s not so easy for Shrooms to Show up on a Drug test. It has to be a specific kind of drug test.
